Bright Stars Montessori Preschool is a family-owned and operated early years education service. We pride ourselves on bridging the gap between traditional daycare and kindergarten. We are child-focused and go beyond to ensure learning is tailored to each child's specific needs.

We are currently seeking an experienced Full Time Early Childhood Teacher. The ideal educator would be passionate about educating and caring for children but also a team player who offers support when required and can share their knowledge freely. Most of all, a people person who also values relationships.

Job tasks and responsibilities

Delivering an innovative and high-quality educational program

Create meaningful documentation

Maintain the daily running of the room to the service standards

Ensure learning and development is aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework and the National Quality Standards

Build and maintain strong, positive relationships with families, children, and within the team

Provide aesthetically pleasing environments for children that are rich and engaging both indoors and outdoors, daily

Support a culture of reflective practice and continuous improvement

Have fun and interact with the children

Skills and experience

Have a sound knowledge of the EYLF

Strong communication and documentation skills

A current Working With Children's Check

Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis training

Be experienced in a childcare environment

Be organised and professional

Prior room leader experience

A genuine passion for the childcare industry

Be proficient in using childcare software on an iPad and a desktop

Having prior knowledge of the Montessori philosophy is preferable, but not essential

Bachelor of Early Childhood Education or ACECQA approved equivalent qualification required (or clearly state if working towards), or would consider a Diploma Qualified Candidate
