About the role
We are seeking a dedicated and hands-on Live-In Resort Manager to join our team and oversee the day-to-day operations of Regency on The Beach in Palm Beach, Queensland. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced hospitality professional to live on-site and take full ownership of the guest experience, staff coordination, and overall property presentation.

As the Live-In Manager, you will be the face of the resort—responsible for delivering exceptional service, maintaining high operational standards, and ensuring a seamless and memorable stay for our guests. You will manage a small, close-knit team, oversee reservations, coordinate housekeeping and maintenance, and act as the primary point of contact for guests throughout their stay.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic, guest-focused environment and is passionate about creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Your ability to think on your feet, multitask, and lead with both professionalism and personality will be key to your success.

What you'll be doing

Overseeing day-to-day resort operations, including housekeeping, maintenance, guest services, and reservations

Managing marketing efforts, including online listings, promotions, and local partnerships to drive direct bookings

Maximising revenue and occupancy through dynamic pricing, yield management, and efficient booking systems

Building strong relationships with unit owners and guests to enhance satisfaction and retention

Liaising professionally with the Body Corporate, attending meetings and ensuring compliance with building by-laws and shared agreements

Expanding and maintaining the holiday rental pool, ensuring properties are well-presented and consistently let

Acting as the main point of contact for guests, providing warm hospitality, addressing enquiries or concerns promptly, and ensuring a consistently exceptional guest experience

Handling reservations and booking systems, maintaining accurate records and optimising occupancy

Conducting regular property inspections, ensuring high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and safety

Liaising with contractors and suppliers as needed to maintain the property and manage stock

Leading and supporting a small on-site team with a hands-on and collaborative management style

Monitoring budgets, handling reporting, and ensuring cost-effective and sustainable operations

Responding to after-hours guest needs and emergencies due to the live-in nature of the role

What we're looking for

A minimum of 5 years’ experience in resort or short-stay accommodation management

Current Real Estate Licence or the ability to obtain one (essential)

Proven ability to liaise with Body Corporate, unit owners, and guests in a professional and solutions-focused manner

Strong understanding of revenue management, dynamic pricing, and business performance strategy

Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills

A hands-on operator with strong attention to detail and high standards of presentation

Proficiency with property management systems and marketing platforms

The ability to live on-site and take full responsibility for after-hours guest needs and emergencies

A positive, professional attitude and the flexibility to adapt to the evolving needs of the resort
