We are seeking a dedicated calm and patient live-in Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our award-winning Pet Resort in Cornubia.

This is a hands-on role ideally suited to someone passionate about animal care, confident in team leadership, and committed to delivering outstanding customer service.

As manager you will be expected to respond to any challenges in your environment in a thoughtful and comparatively methodical manner routinely providing others with empathy and support.

What we're looking for

Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar kennel management or pet care role

Demonstrated knowledge of animal behaviour, health, and welfare

Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and train a team

Excellent customer service orientation and communication skills

Proficient in maintaining detailed records and following standard operating procedures

Flexible and adaptable, able to work in a fast-paced environment

Relevant qualifications in animal care, veterinary assistance or a related field would be highly regarded

Role Overview:

As Facility Manager, you will live on-site (after a qualifying period) and take a leadership role in managing our small, close-knit team. You’ll be responsible for the daily operation of our pet resort, ensuring a safe, clean, and happy environment for our animal guests and an exceptional experience for their owners.

Key Responsibilities:

· Supervising the daily care of pets, including feeding, bathing, and cleaning

· Monitoring the health and wellbeing of animals in our care

· Checking pets in and out, assessing behavior, and managing pet playgroups groups

· Handling customer enquiries, bookings, and promoting our services

· Managing the facility’s social media presence

· Coordinating staff rosters, training, and daily supervision

· Assist Maintaining the lawns, gardens, and general appearance of the facility

· Occasionally transporting pets (pick-up/drop-off services)

Work Schedule:

· 10-day fortnight (approx. 76 hours), including alternate weekends and most Public Holidays

· Shifts run from approx. 7:30am to 5:00pm, with a 1–2 hour lunch break

· Supported by 3–5 part-time and casual staff during peak times and on the manager's days off

Accommodation & Living:

The role includes a recently renovated house on-site (10-acre property), which features:

· 2 bedrooms (plus storage shed/s)

· Kitchen, laundry, 1 ½ bathrooms, lounge and dining areas

· Private small rear yard and access to larger fenced paddocks

· Insulated ceilings, reverse cycle A/C, and wide verandas for comfortable year-round living

Under our kennel licence conditions, a manager is required to reside on-site to monitor pets and control noise levels, especially during busy school and public holiday periods.
