We’re seeking a motivated and experienced Live-In Motel Manager (ideal for a couple or sole operator) to take the reins of our 26-suite motel set in the heart of Montville, a charming hinterland village nestled in Queensland’s Sunshine Coast region.

Our motel is a peaceful haven surrounded by lush sub-tropical gardens, complete with a swimming pool and tennis court. In addition to the main property, you’ll also oversee bookings and check-ins for 10 offsite apartments, ensuring every guest enjoys a seamless and relaxing stay.
🛎️ About the Role:
This is a hands-on, live-in management position that covers all aspects of daily operations including:
Greeting guests and managing bookings (via our property management system and online channels)
Responding to guest feedback and enquiries
Coordinating and rostering cleaning staff
Stripping rooms ahead of cleaning team arrival
Ordering and stocktaking linen, room amenities, and supplies
Grounds maintenance (outsourced for individual) and minor property maintenance
Organising and liaising with external contractors
👤 About You:
We’re looking for a dedicated professional or couple who are passionate about hospitality and thrive in a self-managed environment. You’ll bring:
Previous experience in motel/hospitality management (desirable)
A strong customer service ethic and a warm, personable manner
The ability to spot opportunities for improvement and communicate proactively with owners
Excellent people skills – comfortable engaging with guests, staff, suppliers and owners
Competence with booking/property management systems and online travel agencies (OTAs), or willingness to learn
Intermediate to high level computer proficiency
An ABN and police check

💼 Remuneration:
$75,000-$78,000 (single) or $105,000–$110,000 (couple)
*FTE for couple is approximately 1.4
Includes a fully self-contained 3-bedroom apartment adjacent to reception, with utilities and internet included (approx. $28,000 value)
Flexible roster options:
4 weeks on, 1 week off
6 weeks on, 1 week off + 1 weekend per month
5 weeks on, 5 days off + 1 weekend per month
A Part time arrangement would be considered for the right applicant
