Our client is a leading Australian manufacturer and supplier of quality steel building products. With a strong national presence and over 26 manufacturing sites across the country, they play a pivotal role in Australia's built environment, providing essential solutions for residential, commercial, industrial, government, and rural projects.

The Position

This role is primarily to process customer orders, provide excellent customer service to all customers and be a key point of contact for all customer enquiries, service and sales related tasks. To achieve this there are the following responsibilities:

Duration: Permanent
Salary: $70k-$80k + super

The key functions of the Internal Customer Service position are to:

• Work as a team member in the day-to-day functions of the Internal Sales Team
• Accurate order entry of customer purchase orders via email and CRM system
• Liaise with customers to provide accurate order and enquiry information
• Liaise with transport and production teams on a daily basis Participate in team meetings Meet KPI`s as required
• Assist Walk in Customers at Trade counter/Retail sales Provide quotations to customers and follow up
• Prioritize workload to ensure optimum efficiency Communicate outcomes and resolve discrepancies in a professional manner Follow up on proof of deliveries (POD) where required
• Perform order checks to minimize reworks and ensure team profitability

Requirements of the role:

• Possess a high level of alpha and numerical data entry skills
• Good organizational and time management skills
• High level of accuracy and experience in alphanumeric data order entry
• Ability to communicate via email and over the phone
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and work within a busy team environment
• Resilient and positive attitude and able to deal directly with trades people
• Dynamic and positive approach to a changing environment
• ∙ Able to work independently and meet deadlines
• Ability to take instruction and use initiative
• General understanding of the manufacturing/sales process, including sales, production and despatch (required, but not essential)
• Ability to identify opportunities for improvements and make recommendations
• Possess an excellent telephone manner.
• Excellent external and internal customer service skills.
• Ability to meet KPI`s and targets
