About you and this position
We currently have two positions available in our highly skilled and passionate Green Assets team.
Reporting to the Team Leader, you will play a hands-on role in the maintenance and care of high-profile areas, parks, gardens, ovals and green spaces across the city. This position involves working as part of a skilled team to deliver high-quality, sustainable landscape management, ensuring these valued community assets remain safe, attractive, and well-maintained. You will utilise your practical skills daily, assist with planning and coordinating tasks, and contribute to creating vibrant outdoor environments for the community to enjoy.
As a successful candidate, you will have:
Essential
- Certificate III in Horticulture (or equivalent qualification) partnered with extensive experience
- Current and valid Class MR Driver’s License or Higher
- Basic computer skills
- Broad experience in the operation of machinery, plant and equipment, hand and power tools
- Demonstrated people management experience.
Desirable
- Chainsaw Competency Ticket
- Work zone Traffic Management Ticket
- Current Chem cert accreditation
- White Card
- Understanding of local government and Council’s structure, policies, functions and activities
These two positions are available on a permanent full-time basis and are classified as a Grade 7 under the Campbelltown Field Staff Enterprise Agreement No 12, 2023 and the relevant Award.
The preferred candidates will need to undertake a pre-employment medical and submit a police clearance (funded by Council).
