Site Supervisor - Bridge construction works, Earthworks and Roads | 9 Month Contract

As Site Supervisor, you’ll provide critical oversight of on-site construction activities to ensure works are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. You’ll collaborate with project teams and contractors to uphold best practices in health, safety, environment, and quality (HSEQ), while providing guidance and mentoring to promote excellence on the ground.

Key accountabilities include:

• Supervise on-site construction activities and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.
• Monitor compliance with project management plans, permits, and procedures.
• Conduct daily site logs, inspections, and safety observations.
• Attend daily pre-starts and assist in risk identification and mitigation.
• Support the review and planning of work permits.
• Liaise closely with contractors and internal stakeholders to resolve on-site issues.
• Inspect material sources (e.g., quarries) and report on suitability.
• Assist in monitoring existing infrastructure, such as boreholes, using provided tools.
• Report project status to the Project Manager, highlighting risks or delays.
• Support project assurance and commissioning activities.

About You

• Relevant trade qualifications or significant site experience.
• Construction Induction (White Card).
• Valid NSW Driver’s Licence.
• Proven experience in site-based construction supervision (utilities or infrastructure).
• Knowledge of WHS, Environmental, and Quality Management Systems.
• Strong understanding of construction risks and compliance standards.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and management plans.

Highly Regarded

• Experience with bridge works, earthworks, road construction.
• Familiarity with dam safety, embankments, and operational water infrastructure.
• Experience with isolation procedures and operational plant protocols.
