We are seeking an experienced customer focused facilities officer to fill the role of Property and Business Services Officer within the Property Services Team in our Sydney CBD office. This opportunity is for 12 months to cover a period of leave. Full-time and part-time hours are available. Offers will be based on candidate performance and operational requirements.

The Property Services Team sits within the Corporate Services Branch and works closely with business area in the Office of the Fair Work Ombudsman to ensure that our offices are operating at an optimal level.

About the OFWO

The Office of the Fair Work Ombudsman (OFWO) is an independent statutory office established by the Fair Work Act 2009 (Fair Work Act). Our functions outline the responsibilities we have as set by the Fair Work Act and other legislation to achieve our purpose:

  • provide education, assistance, advice and guidance to employers, employees, outworkers, outworker entities and organisations
  • promote and monitor compliance with workplace laws
  • inquire into and investigate breaches of the Fair Work Act
  • take appropriate enforcement action
  • perform our statutory functions efficiently, effectively, economically and ethically.

About the Team and role

The Property Services team is responsible for the management of FWO property and facilities via our Property Service Provider, as well as the provision of enabling services including space management, emergency management, fleet vehicles, stationery and office supplies.

The Property and Business Services Officer will use their exceptional customer service, communication, and organisational skills as part of a high performing, capable and responsive geographically diverse team. The role suits a highly motivated individual who can work independently to achieve quality outcomes and provide results as part of the Property Services Team. This is a varied role based in our Sydney office that delivers daily engagement and provides services nationally, as well as exceptional services at a local level within the Sydney office with daily onsite attendance required. A current driver’s licence would be highly advantageous as this role includes assisting with the management of FWO fleet vehicles.

Eligibility

  • To be eligible for employment with the OFWO you must be an Australian citizen.
  • The successful candidate must hold a current Australian Government Security Clearance (AGSVA) or be willing to undergo and obtain a Baseline security clearance.
