The Opportunity
We have an opportunity for an organised individual to assist with the maintenance of Bega Valley Shire Council public buildings in accordance with the approved Building Asset Management Plan (AMP), through the provision of planned and reactive maintenance activities in order to ensure facilities meet the legislative, regulatory, and operational needs of the organisation.
As a Facilities Support Officer, you will assist the delivery of planned maintenance works as per the AMP and allocated budgets and document QA inspections of delivered works and secure work-as-executed information for updating of registers. You will assist the Facilities Officer and Civil Assets Superintendent to establish facility management plans and associated service level agreements for each service area i.e. Library, childcare centres.

About You
We are seeking an individual who holds a minimum Certificate III in a building trade, or Certificate IV in business, facilities management or property managements and has NSW Class C Drivers Licence.
You will have the following skills and experience;
- Demonstrated experience in planned maintenance and minor capital works projects, including facility and building maintenance.
- Working knowledge of computer software applications including CMMS and Microsoft Office.
- Written and verbal communication skills including the ability to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated project management experience.
Benefits
This is a permanent, full time position working 35 hours per week.
The total remuneration package for this position commences at $83,724.14 gross per annum, comprising of:
- $1,437.57 per week base salary
- $172.51 per week superannuation (calculated at 12%)
