About the role

We are seeking an experienced Camp Chef to join our team at Mt Morgan Village in Mount Morgan, QLD. As a Camp Chef, you will be responsible for planning, preparing and delivering high-quality meals for our clients in a remote camp setting. This is a full-time role with the opportunity to work in a collaborative and dynamic environment.

What you'll be doing

Plan and prepare nutritious, well-balanced meals for our camp clients up to a maximum of just 25 guests.

Manage food inventory, ordering and budgeting to ensure efficient operations

Maintain a clean and organised kitchen, following all health and safety guidelines

Adapt menus and recipes to accommodate dietary requirements and preferences

Train and supervise kitchen staff to ensure consistent food preparation and service

Liaise with camp managers to understand client needs and preferences

Monitor food costs and identify opportunities to improve efficiency

What we're looking for

Minimum 3 years' experience as a Camp Chef or in a similar role

Formal culinary training or qualification, such as a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery

Strong knowledge of food hygiene, safety and budgeting practices

Excellent time management and multitasking abilities

Ability to work collaboratively in a small team environment

Creative flair for developing innovative and appealing menu options

Passion for providing exceptional customer service

Strong customer service skills, experience with RMS and front reception check in/out procedures would be highly advantageous.
