• $74.68 per hour + Super (38 hours per week, PAYG)

Six Degrees is seeking multiple experienced Infrastructure Advisor / Maintenance Planners to join a QLD Government department based in Brisbane CBD. In this key advisory role, you will lead the planning and delivery of facilities maintenance and capital works across a broad government portfolio, ensuring the effective upkeep of assets while prioritising safety, compliance, efficiency and stakeholder collaboration.

To excel in this role, you must demonstrate expertise in building maintenance, with strong knowledge of maintenance processes and asset management systems. A high level of attention to detail is essential to ensure accuracy and quality in maintenance planning and execution. Problem-solving skills are critical, as the ability to identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements is a key aspect of the role.

A strong focus on safety is required, with the ability to incorporate safety protocols into all planning activities. Logical reasoning and organisational skills are essential for balancing competing priorities and allocating resources effectively. The role also requires excellent communication skills to collaborate with school staff, provide clear guidance, and offer sound advice.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic advice and operational support across facilities planning, maintenance and investment
• Develop, implement and monitor maintenance plans aligned with asset management strategies
• Collaborate with internal teams and external service providers to deliver maintenance projects
• Prepare reports, ministerial briefings and audit findings
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and compliance standards
• Analyse data to identify inefficiencies and drive process improvements
• Engage with school staff and stakeholders to ensure timely, high-quality outcomes

What we’re looking for:

• Proven experience in building maintenance, asset management or infrastructure planning
• Strong knowledge of maintenance planning systems and data analysis tools
• Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and problem-solving skills
• High attention to detail and strong organisational capability
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and relevant business systems

Other requirements:

• Current or eligible Blue Card
• Ability to travel locally
• National criminal history check clearance
