DC Services (NQ) Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic or Automotive Mechanic to join our team in Mount Louisa. We work on a wide range of machinery, including trucks, trailers, cars, 4WD, forklifts, cranes and more. This is a full-time role where you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of heavy diesel equipment used across a range of industries. We are growing and looking for the right person to join our team long term.

About the role

Join our well-established workshop team in Townsville and take on a role that offers:

• Perform scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance on a wide range of vehicles.
• Regular customers who are great to work with.
• Vehicle diagnosis & repair.
• On-site breakdown service and on-call opportunities.
• Typical hours: 7:30 am - 4 pm, Monday to Thursday, Friday 7.30 am – 1.30pm, with overtime available.
• Diagnose and repair a variety of heavy diesel engines and equipment.
• Dismantle, inspect, repair, and reassemble heavy diesel engines and components.
• Liaise with clients to understand issues and provide recommended solutions.
• Contribute to a safe and efficient workshop environment.

What we're looking for

• Formal qualifications in Heavy Diesel Mechanics or a related Automotive Trade
• Extensive experience (minimum 5 years) working as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic or similar
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• A can-do attitude and willingness to go the extra mile
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work to high quality standards
• Proven experience with a variety of heavy diesel engines and equipment
• Efficient communication skills to liaise with clients and team members
• Manual drivers licence (Essential), Truck licence (desirable)
