What you will be doing
As a Leading Hand Heavy Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for the below duties:

Leading and mentoring a team of mechanics and trade assistants

Assigning and prioritising daily maintenance, diagnostics, and repair tasks

Ensuring all fleet vehicles meet safety and compliance standards

Assisting with mechanical and electrical fault finding and repair

Supporting documentation, inventory, and parts tracking

Responding to workshop issues and assisting hands-on when needed

Stepping in to support the Workshop Manager during leave

What you will need
To be successful in this role you will need to have the below:

Trade-qualified Heavy Diesel Mechanic

Experience working with Scania and Volvo vehicles (advantageous)

HR Licence (preferred)

Leadership experience or the confidence to step into a leadership role

Strong communication, organisational, and team coordination skills

Flexibility to work on a rotating weekend roster

Focus on safety, quality, and compliance
