About the role

Gemelli Italian is currently recruiting a Gelato Chef to join the Gemelli family - Italian candidates preferred, but not necessary.

Duties

Work closely with the chefs to ensure smooth operation

Managing small gelato chef team

Work with the team of hospitality professionals to deliver exceptional service

Managing and coordinating all dine-in and takeaway orders

Handling fast-pace restaurant operations

Prepping and making delicious gelatos

Skills & Experience

Minimum 2 years' experience in commercial gelato production

Demonstrated knowledge of Italian gelato techniques and flavour combinations

Experience in stock management and inventory control

Knowledge of food costings and portion control

Full working rights in Australia

A calm and professional approach to their job

Strong communication skills

Incredible attention to detail

Staff and customer service focused
