About the Opportunity
We’re currently looking to fill two Occupational Health Nurse positions, one based in Henderson, WA and one in Osborne, SA. These roles are key to supporting the health and wellbeing of ASC employees.
The Occupational Health Nurse will be responsible for delivering effective and efficient medical services, supporting injury management, rehabilitation, return to work processes, and overseeing medical requirements for international deployments. The goal is to promote and restore the health and welfare of all ASC workers. Rostered hours are 7:00am - 3:30pm Monday - Friday, however hours may be flexible.
Responsibilities
- Efficient administration of the health centre ensuring adequate resources available, these resources include but not confined to consumables, medical services, health support and advice for the business
- Efficient and appropriate treatment of injuries/illnesses to ensure a safe and successful recovery and return to work
- Facilitating the administration of WHS legislatively required health surveillance and monitoring on behalf of ASC
- Facilitating the administration with ASC CMS policy and procedure relevant to the health and safety and welfare of ASC workforce
- Health promotion and Health education activities for the ASC workforce in the area of work and lifestyle factors, in liaison with ASC communications
- Participation with the Mental Health First Aid team to support, promote and educate the Mental health and wellbeing of the ASC workforce
- Maintain qualifications relevant to the role
- Comply with AHPRA Continuing Professional Development Standard
About you
- A relevant nursing degree and current registration with AHPRA as a Registered General Nurse
- At least 2 years of experience working in occupational health nursing
- Able to work independently and make decisions confidently about employee health and wellbeing
- Proactive and adaptable to changing business needs
- Certified in Drug and Alcohol Collection
- Trained in Mental Health First Aid
- Certified in Occupational First Aid
Eligibility
This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.
