Quality Assurance Lead

I'm working with a Software Development company in West Perth who are seeking a proactive Quality Assurance Lead who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced setting. You’ll play a key role in driving the output of their QA team in Perth and support the offshore QA team. As a change champion, you’ll spearhead the adoption of new testing tools and processes, while uplifting and maintaining QA practices across the board.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who doesn’t wait to be told what to do—someone who anticipates, plans ahead, and takes initiative to improve quality, efficiency, and team performance as we continue to evolve.

They are looking for a hands-on Quality Assurance Lead to define and manage the testing framework across our software development lifecycle. You’ll lead a lean QA team, drive testing best practices, and improve efficiency and quality across multiple projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and mentor a high-performing QA team.

Develop and maintain testing strategies and processes.

Ensure test coverage across functional, end-to-end, performance, and stress testing.

Manage defect tracking and resolution, and report on test outcomes.

Collaborate with stakeholders and communicate testing timelines and risks.

Identify areas to enhance product performance and testing reliability.

About You:

5+ years in a mid to senior QA role, ideally in a regulated industry.

Skilled in building and executing test strategies and scripts.

Experienced with test automation frameworks (e.g. Playwright, Typescript, Postman).

Strong stakeholder communication and issue escalation skills.

Familiar with Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence), MIRO, Excel, and AWS.
