You will fit perfectly into the team if you:
Have a solid grounding in bookkeeping with a minimum of 2 years diverse experience, ideally with some in public practice
Love technology and you are a Xero Guru who enjoys learning and keeping up to date
Have worked with both Xero / MYOB
Have a great understanding of Australian accounting and GST, Payroll and Superannuation
Focus on getting it right and getting it done
Have a genuine interest in helping clients and be able to build rapport
Enjoy creating easy to use, processes and systems
Have a minimum of a Cert IV in Bookkeeping (ideally a Diploma of Accounting) it is desirable you also have a minimum of a Cert IV in Payroll
Enjoy problem solving, troubleshooting and providing help desk style support
Have excellent time management and oral and written communication skills
Are looking for an all round general role with complex tasks as well as some more boring tasks like supporting with general admin (answering phones, electronic file, sending client correpondence). This is probably 25% of the role.
Are looking to work full time (or at least 4 days per week)
The bookkeeping parts to this role will be varied in nature and keep you busy including:
Preparation of IAS & BAS, including end of year GST & ATO reconciliations
Payroll (including payroll tax returns, income statements, TPAR), superannuation
Xero Set Up and Software Conversations
Preparation of end of month reconciliations
Providing troubleshooting for client issues with Xero & MYOB
General bookkeeping – data entry, invoicing, AP/AR, General ledger reconciliations etc
The admin parts to this role will be varied in nature and keep you busy including:
Answering the phone, replying to client general emails, electronic filing.
Greeting clients, signing for the odd delivery when the admin team are away, in meetings or at lunch.
Sending clients ATO correspondence, liasing with the ATO for client debts.
Software Requirements
Xero (Expert level) - (plus Xero Practice Manager is desirable)
MYOB (Intermediate level)
Dropbox
Microsoft Suite (Advanced Excel)
Hubdoc & Receipt Bank (Desirable)
Reckon / Quickbooks Online (Desirable)
