Position Overview (Immediate Start)

Permanent Position Office based in Bullsbrook, we are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Bookkeeper to manage and oversee our financial operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work in a dynamic agricultural environment.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management:

- Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable and receivable.

- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

- Oversee budgeting and forecasting processes.

Payroll:

- Manage payroll for farm staff, ensuring compliance with Australian regulations.

- Process superannuation contributions and employee benefits.

Tax Compliance:

- Prepare and lodge BAS, IAS, and other tax obligations in line with Australian tax laws.

- Assist with end-of-year tax preparation and liaise with external accountants.

Reporting & Analysis:

- Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.

- Monitor cash flow and manage debtors and creditors.

System Management:

- Maintain and improve bookkeeping systems, including software like Xero, or similar.

- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.

Office Administration

- Assist with day-to-day office administration where necessary.

Qualifications & Experience

- Proven experience as a senior bookkeeper or in a similar role, preferably in the agricultural sector.

- Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, or similar.

- In-depth knowledge of Australian accounting standards and tax laws.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.

- Formal qualification in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.
