Description

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the Financial Controller will take ownership of the finance function and act as a key business partner to the wider leadership team. The role will oversee a team of five including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, a Management Accountant, Payroll Officer, and HR.

Key responsibilities include:

Full financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance
Driving financial and operational performance insights
Supporting ongoing system and process improvement projects
Managing cash flow and liaising with external partners (auditors, tax, banks)
Providing commercial analysis to support business decision-making

Profile

To be successful in this role, you will be a CA or CPA qualified finance professional with demonstrated experience in a senior finance role.
You will ideally have:

A background in building products, logistics, construction supply or retail
Strong leadership skills and experience managing a small to mid-sized finance team
A commercial mindset with a hands-on approach to process improvement
Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders
