ProHealth Medical Centre, a new General Practice clinic located at Camperdown, is set to open in mid-July. With a focus on patient-centered care, we are committed to providing comprehensive and accessible healthcare services to the local community.

Position Overview

We are looking for a Casual Medical Receptionist to join our newly established practice to be a key team member, providing high quality customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic. Training is provided for this position is scheduled to commence after July 21, 2025.

Key Responsibilities

Greet and welcome patients, assisting with patient enquiries.

Handle incoming calls, answering inquiries and directing calls to appropriate staff members.

Schedule and confirm appointments.

Check in patients, collecting and updating patient details into the database.

Process patient billing, including Medicare and private health insurance claims.

Act for patient correspondence, including appointment reminders and follow-up communications.

Maintain a clean, well-stocked, and welcoming reception and waiting area.

Our Ideal Candidate

Strong multitasking abilities, prioritisation of workflow, and attention to detail.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Basic understanding of medical terminology preferred.

Experience with Medicare, Work Cover, and OSHC/OVHC billings preferred (not required).

Experience in a medical receptionist or administrative role preferred (not required).

Flexibility to work two or three 4/5 hour shifts a week and pick up shifts if required.

Availability to commence on 21 July or onwards.
