Senior Receptionist / 2IC – Full Time

We are looking for a proactive and experienced Senior Medical Receptionist / 2IC to join our growing team in a well-established specialist medical practice. This full-time role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and is looking for leadership growth within medical administration.

About the Role:

As the Senior Receptionist, you will work alongside other front desk staff, performing day-to-day reception duties while acting as a go-to support for the Practice Manager. This is a hands-on role with the opportunity to build your leadership skills and take on additional responsibilities over time.

Key Responsibilities:

Providing an outstanding level of customer service in person and over the phone to patients and all health professional

Efficiently and accurately managing appointments, referrals, billing, and patient enquiries

Ordering office supplies and restocking of medicinal fridge

Management of patient invoicing and receipting of consultations

Formatting and sending of patient letters.

Support and guide junior reception staff as needed

Assist with daily coordination of front desk operations

Liaise with specialists, referrers, and external providers

Ensure accurate data entry and maintenance of patient records

Step into 2IC duties when the Practice Manager is away or requires support

The ideal candidate will have the following attributes:

Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Medical Receptionist

Experience using Audit 4 software is an advantage but training will be provided

Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills

Strong teamwork ethic with the ability to take initiative

Excellent attention to detail

A desire to grow professionally and take on more responsibility

A brilliant administrator with excellent organisational and time management skills, able to multitask and establish efficient office systems.

Ability to multitask and remain calm and efficient even when working in a busy and pressured environment.
