Dispute Resolution Officer | Join a Global Insurance Company | $40.56ph + Super | Sydney CBD

MAYDAY is looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Dispute Resolution Officer to join a leading global insurance provider that puts fairness, empathy, and excellence at the forefront of their service.   • Hourly Rate: $40.56 per hour + super
  • Location: Sydney CBD (Hybrid)
  • Full time: Monday–Friday
  • Hours: 8:30 am – 5:00 pm

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Review and assess disputed insurance claims to ensure accurate outcomes were reached
  • Identify and correct processing errors in claims or decision-making
  • Draft high-quality decision letters that clearly explain outcomes to policyholders
  • Manage a portfolio of complex cases with care, professionalism, and regulatory compliance
  • Liaise with stakeholders, including internal teams and external partners, to resolve complaints
  • Meet AFCA or internal dispute timelines and regulatory obligations

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience in general insurance, particularly in claims or dispute resolution
  • Strong understanding of dispute case management – AFCA experience highly regarded
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills – clear, empathetic and confident
  • A self-starter who can manage deadlines and complex casework independently
  • Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
  • Familiarity with claims systems and Microsoft Office; bonus if experienced in complaint-tracking tools
  • Legal, mediation, or regulatory background is a plus
