The role:

They are looking to hire a Mid Level .NET Software Developer to join their growing team. In this role, you will take a leading part in maintaining, enhancing, and evolving their platform. You’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality, scalable software solutions that support their goals for platform stability, client satisfaction, and ongoing product innovation.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Work collaboratively with a diverse team of developers across domains such as cryptography, enterprise-scale web applications, and mission-critical financial systems.
• Design, build, and maintain reliable, well-tested backend services and web APIs within a distributed microservices architecture, supporting high transaction volumes and scalability.
• Champion software development best practices, continuously improving processes to enhance the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Provide guidance and mentorship to team members, supporting skill development, cross-training, and professional growth.
• Partner closely with product teams to define functional requirements, prioritize development tasks, and deliver solutions aligned with business objectives.
• Produce clear and comprehensive technical documentation, including system designs and recommendations for ongoing improvement and maintainability.

Your background:

• Strong proficiency in C#, .NET Framework, .NET Core, ASP.NET MVC.
• Extensive experience with RESTful APIs, SOAP, Web API, OpenAPI (Swagger), and WCF.
• Skilled in modern JavaScript frameworks, especially Angular, along with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Proficient in unit testing and mocking frameworks to ensure high code quality.
• Advanced knowledge of Oracle and MS SQL Server, including PL/SQL, T-SQL, views, stored procedures, and Entity Framework.
• Deep understanding of microservices, messaging patterns, and event-driven architecture
• Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., TeamCity, Octopus Deploy).
• Familiarity with messaging systems like RabbitMQ.
• Knowledge of Docker and containerization.
• Experience with Azure and Azure DevOps.
• Background in modernizing legacy applications
• Experience in payment industry frameworks and financial services systems.
• Clear and effective verbal and written communication, including technical documentation

HQ is based in Brisbane CBD, however they offer work from home and remote options for candidates who live further afield across South East QLD.
