About the Role:

As a Service Manager, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals with disabilities and, where applicable, their families. This is a Permanent Full-Time position based in Carnegie, VIC, with oversight of all Service Units located at 7 Jersey Parade, 19 Arrawatta Street, and 4 Looker Street. As part of your role, it is expected that you will regularly travel between and maintain a strong presence across all service sites to ensure consistent, high-quality support and leadership. You will work Monday to Friday, 7.6 hours per day, which includes 2 hours of direct client support on the floor.

Key Responsibilities:

Please note that this role includes a component of rostered after-hours on-call duty.

• Leadership: Lead a dedicated team of disability support workers, providing high-intensity support to clients.
• Performance Management: Ensure the overall performance of the service aligns with annual work plans and meets established targets.
• Person-Directed Support: Promote person-directed support and community participation that exceeds minimum disability standards, all within available resources.
• Operational Excellence: Manage the day-to-day operations of supported accommodation services, surpassing identified Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
• Support Excellence: Provide high-quality support to customers and their families, offering management support to care staff.

About You

To be successful in this role you'll share Yooralla's Values and have:

• Management Experience: Demonstrated management experience, preferably within a community services environment.
• Sector Knowledge: Understanding of legislation and standards relevant to the disability sector.
• Person-Centered Approach: Knowledge and understanding of how to support staff in implementing contemporary and person-centered approaches to uphold the rights and support needs of individuals with disabilities.
• Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Resource Management: Demonstrated ability to manage financial and staff resources within a complex environment.
• Initiative and Organization: Excellent initiative, self-directed work practices, and highly developed organizational skills.
• A relevant qualification and/or significant experience in the human services area
