Position Remuneration: Level 2.1 ($68,723 Base annual salary) / ($78,006 Total remuneration package which is based on a permanent full-time employee and inclusive of 12% employer superannuation and 17.5% leave loading).

With a natural flair for customer service and a strong team spirit, you are ready to step into a role where every interaction counts, and your contribution makes a real difference.

The position's focus will be:

Deliver exceptional customer service by effectively engaging with a diverse range of customers to identify needs, provide accurate information, and offer practical solutions via phone, email, and other digital channels.

Develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge of Council services, policies, and procedures to ensure timely and accurate advice is provided to the community.

Manage and prioritise customer interactions, including service requests, complaints, general enquiries, and transactions, ensuring prompt and appropriate resolution in line with service standards.

Apply sound problem-solving skills to address service issues and contribute to the ongoing enhancement of customer service processes.

Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives by contributing feedback and suggestions to enhance customer service delivery, policies, and procedures.

Process applications and financial transactions, including receipting payments, balancing daily takings, and preparing bank deposits in accordance with Council’s financial policies.

Ensure accurate and confidential management of customer records by maintaining up-to-date information in Council’s customer request management system, in compliance with privacy legislation, the Code of Conduct, and Records Management policies.

Support the Local Disaster Coordination Centre as required, contributing to Council’s emergency response efforts.

Undertake other duties as reasonably directed, consistent with the scope and responsibilities of the role.
