Due to consistent growth, this well-known and trusted national distributor of industrial low and medium voltage electrical and automation products is seeking a Business Development Manager, in Brisbane.

The position
Calling on Switchboard Builders and Tier 1-3 Electrical Contractors, the aim of this role is to develop and implement a successful sales strategy for major accounts, both existing and new.

You will be supplying a wide range of quality power distribution products, whilst representing a genuine market leader that is highly regarded and widely used across Australia.

Duties include:

• To canvass, identify and negotiate with potential customers.
• To prepare and supervise such marketing and advertising plans.
• To deploy a successful sales strategy and tactics for future growth with key accounts and target markets.
• Contribute to the profitable growth of the business.
• Develop strong customer relations with key accounts.
• Provide sales support and training to customers.
  
  

Your key skills and competencies will include:

• An electrical trade or engineering qualification is preferred but not essential.
• Knowledge of power distribution or cable products is essential.
• Relationships with Switchboard Builders and Tier 1-3 electrical contractors are essential.
• A structured and planned approach to sales with face to face customer experience.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Willingness to work as part of a team, to learn and create solutions.
