Fairleys IGA is a market leading independent grocer. We have a strong focus on delivering an exceptional experience to our customers in range, quality, service and competitive pricing. We are seeking to recruit an experienced customer service 2ic to join our team in Shepparton.

About the role:

Reporting to the Customer Service Manager and the Store Management team, you’ll assist the CSM with the day-to-day running of our customer service department. You’ll take pride in ensuring that your department is exceptionally presented, welcoming and engaging for our customers and community.

  • Full time position with rotational weekend work (Every 2nd Saturday, one late night and some public holidays)
  • Attractive base salary + 11.5% superannuation

About You And Your Skills:

  • Previous experience working in a fast-paced customer facing environment and the ability to think on your feet and adapt quickly to changes within your environment.
  • A passion to improve our customer service experience, engage with customers and facilitate organic growth
  • Direct and indirect leadership experience as you’ll need to lead, coach and develop your team to meet customer requirements, rostering requirements and wage control.
  • To maintain excellent standards within your department by keep the service area clean, presentable and inviting for customers.
  • Great organisational skills to assist you with the ordering of stock, rostering, keeping accurate records and documenting any customer service actions and discussions
  • Take ownership of any customer queries/concerns, be able to follow through and provide a resolution.
  • To be able to think strategically, look to simplify processes, to maintain and delivery our service procedures and policies.
  • and to lead the charge for high customer service standards.
  • To drive our store culture which celebrates success and puts our team members health, safety and wellbeing first.
  • To lead the charge for our customer service team to consistently deliver excellent quality and service standards.
  • To excite our customers with an outstanding shopping experience and leave a long lasting impression.

An RSA and police check is mandatory for this role
