Building Response Australia is seeking an experienced Assessor to join our expanding team. As part of our dynamic company, you'll have the opportunity to contribute to our continued success and growth while benefiting from career progression in a supportive environment.
We are a Brisbane-based, locally owned company with a strong commitment to quality and customer satisfaction. We value our staff and strive to create an environment where employees feel motivated and passionate about what they do.
Due to ongoing growth in the sector, we are looking to bring two new Assessors on board to meet the needs of our expanding portfolio.
Role: Assessor
As an Assessor, you will play a key role in estimating and assessing insurance repairs for some of Australia’s leading insurers. Building Response prides itself on the accuracy and thoroughness of our estimating and reporting, ensuring minimal variations for our clients. Our portfolio includes both Business As Usual (BAU) claims, End of Life (EOL) repairs, and Catastrophic (CAT) events. We manage claims from assessment through to repairs and final handover, ensuring an end-to-end service.
Responsibilities:
- Proactively communicate with policyholders, insurers, and trade contractors.
- Produce thorough, detailed, and well-written reports.
- Estimate claims with precision, ensuring no stone is left unturned.
- Provide excellent customer service with an empathetic and professional manner.
- Maintain a strong focus on quality at all times.
- Work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment when required.
- Manage time effectively to meet deadlines and client needs.
- Coordinate with specialists for external reports and determine the cause of damages.
About You:
We are looking for a well-organized, professional, and self-motivated Assessor who is eager to contribute to our team and grow with the company. You will work alongside our Repair Supervisors and Restoration division, gaining end-to-end knowledge of claims before submission to our clients.
You’ll need:
- Previous experience in the residential building insurance industry (estimating and assessing).
- Relevant trade qualification (Carpentry preferred).
- QBCC supervisor certification.
- Current driver’s license.
- Intermediate computer skills (Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel).
- Sound knowledge of the National Construction Code (NCC).
- Prime Ecosystem experience is advantageous but not essential.
Benefits of Working with Us:
- Career Progression: We value internal growth and offer opportunities to develop your career within a thriving company.
- Competitive Salary: Salary package based on experience.
- Company Uniform provided.
- Work-Life Balance: A supportive work environment where quality craftsmanship is celebrated.
- Established Reputation: A well-regarded building company with a focus on insurance repairs, facilities maintenance, and high-quality service.
We are a company that truly understands the building industry, having started from humble beginnings. Our owners, both tradesmen, know the importance of hard work and quality craftsmanship. Join us and be part of a company that appreciates the value you bring to the team.
