About the Opportunity

Our client is a highly regarded and accredited third-party administrator with a strong presence in the Australian insurance market. As a Claims Team Leader, you will be pivotal in guiding a team of experienced claims professionals to deliver outstanding customer outcomes.

You will oversee the management of personal injury, property liability, and financial line claims from start to finish, ensuring timely and cost-effective resolutions while maintaining compliance and upholding a high standard of customer service.

This is a leadership role where you will:

• Coach, mentor, and develop a team of claims professionals
• Provide technical guidance on complex matters
• Manage workflows and act as an escalation point for complaints
• Undertake quality assurance reviews
• Participate in client performance meetings and strategy reviews
• Foster a positive, inclusive, high-performance culture

The role offers exposure to claims across most Australian jurisdictions, and some international matters. It will suit someone with a strategic mindset, strong technical knowledge, and the ability to motivate and empower their team.

About You

✔️ Proven experience in liability claims (personal injury and property)
✔️ Exposure to financial lines claims (highly desirable)
✔️ Demonstrated leadership capability — coaching and developing claims teams
✔️ Ability to identify key technical, legislative, and regulatory issues in complex claims
✔️ Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
✔️ A collaborative and solutions-focused approach
✔️ Tertiary qualifications in law, business, or insurance (preferred but not essential)
✔️ Solid IT skills and familiarity with insurance claims systems
