About the business and the role

Academy Sheetmetal has been in Newcastle for over 25 years, manufacturing all metal products from roofing to enclosures and switchgear. We take pride in being a local manufacturer creating quality products for all customers, big and small. We operate across 2 shifts, a day shift and an afternoon shift. We also regularly offer overtime for those interested, currently we are offering 10+ hours per week for those that are interested.

Job tasks and responsibilities

We are currently searching for multiple candidates to come onboard with our manufacturing team on our day shift.

Depending on the candidates strengths and eagerness to learn we have a variety of positions to fill in our rapidly expanding workforce. This may involve MIG, TIG or Assembly depending on your skillset.

Skills and experience

A high regard for safety

Sheet Metal or Boiler Making trade certificate.

Experience in MIG and/or TIG welding.

Forklift ticket or the willingness to obtain

Ability to work in a fast paced environment
