Hours of Work: 7:00am - 4:00pm Mon to Thurs and 7:00am - 3:45pm Fri (one RDO per f/n)

What’s On Offer
A rare and rewarding opportunity exists for a methodical and detail-oriented individual to join our City Operations Parks team at the City of Kwinana. This is a full-time position reporting to the Supervisor Contracts (Parks) and working alongside a team of dedicated staff.

As our newest team member, you will support the supervision of external contractors and ensure effective delivery of contracted works in public open spaces alongside the Supervisor. The successful incumbent will be responsible for conducting audits and reporting on the Parks works program to confirm compliance with timeframes, KPIs, specifications and safety standards.

What You’ll Need
To make an impact in this role, the successful candidate will have:

Tertiary qualification in contract management, horticulture, turf, or related filed or extensive relevant experience in lieu of formal qualifications.

Demonstrated experience supporting the supervision of contractors delivering horticultural or public space maintenance services, including monitoring performance, safety, and service standards.

Sound knowledge of horticultural practices, turf management, irrigation systems, and environmental standards relevant to parks maintenance.

Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with contractors, internal teams, and community stakeholders.

Experience in auditing contractor compliance, particularly in relation to safety requirements and contract obligations.

Ability to collect and report on contract performance and scheduled work programs.

Comprehensive understanding of Occupational Health and Safety Legislation and demonstrated application of risk management principles in operational environments.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite – outlook, word, excel and business systems such as Technology One.

Basic Worksite Traffic Management. Current C-class driver's licence, Safety Awareness Training – White Card, Provide First Aid.
