The Opportunity

This is a rewarding opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to take ownership of nationally significant property and construction projects in a 12-month Labour Hire contract with two x 12-month extensions.

You’ll step into a visible role supporting the delivery of commemorative infrastructure across the country, overseeing everything from design and procurement to delivery and reporting. With a varied portfolio that includes both high-profile and locally significant projects, your work will directly contribute to a legacy that matters deeply to many Australians.

• Lead end-to-end delivery of multiple projects with the support of experienced leaders and technical teams

The Role

In this Canberra-based role, you will:

• Deliver a mix of major and minor construction projects under the portfolio
• Lead the planning, governance, risk, procurement and contract management processes
• Manage national and local procurement and vendor engagement in line with Commonwealth frameworks
• Monitor financials, reporting and compliance - ensuring accuracy and transparency across the project lifecycle
• Cultivate productive working relationships with stakeholders across government and industry, balancing strategic outcomes with commemorative sensitivities

The Ideal Person

You’ll be a confident and capable Project Manager with:

• Demonstrated experience in property/construction-focused project management in a government setting
• A sound grasp of Commonwealth procurement, contract and project governance processes
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport and trust with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
• A values-led approach, respectful, collaborative, and committed to public service
• An ability to manage complexity, navigate competing priorities, and maintain quality and integrity under pressure

Please note, this role requires an Australian Citizenship as well as the ability to obtain a Baseline clearance / active Baseline clearance.

Salary / Rate

• $75/hr - $95/hr + 12% Super
• 12-month Labour hire Contract + 2x12-month extensions
• Flexible arrangements and WFH available
