About the program
CatholicCare NT (CCNT) is a not-for-profit organisation, providing services and programs to individuals, couples, families, children, groups, schools, and agencies across the Northern Territory. Administrative staff working for CatholicCare NT facilitate the supply and management of resources that support and enhance CatholicCare NT’s programs, business objectives and initiatives.
Our Crerar Road accommodation facility provides predominately an Indigenous accommodation service, comprising of a 190-bed shared hostel accommodation over two adjacent properties. The Crerar Road accommodation facility provides a home away from home experience to our participants who come to town for medical appointments, shopping, catching up with family or sporting events. In addition to this we provide renal, short stay hostel and homeless accommodation.
CatholicCare NT operates the Crerar Road Accommodation site seven days, twenty-four hours.
About the role
The Assistant Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring the efficient and professional management of the Crerar Road accommodation facility over weekends. This role ensures that participants, visitors, service providers, and other stakeholders receive welcoming, culturally respectful services that meet the objectives of CatholicCare NT.
This position works a compressed week Friday to Monday, 8am to 6.30pm.
What we are looking for
- Proven experience in a supervisory or management role within an accommodation or service industry setting.
- Strong understanding of cultural respect, particularly with Indigenous communities.
- Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and people management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond to urgent situations effectively.
