About the role

We are seeking a friendly and professional full time Medical / Allied Health Receptionist to join our team at Hunter Children's Clinics in Carrington and Merewether, NSW. This is a full time position, providing an opportunity for you to work in a dynamic and caring healthcare environment. Your focus will be on delivering exceptional customer service to our young patients and their families. We are looking for someone who in particular will be able to support our allied health practitioners.

What you'll be doing

Greeting patients and visitors in a warm and welcoming manner

Booking appointments and managing patient schedules

Handling incoming phone calls and email enquiries efficiently

Maintaining accurate patient records and managing medical documentation

Providing a high level of customer service to ensure a positive experience for all patients and their families

Organising NDIS paperwork and claims

What we're looking for

Previous experience working as a medical receptionist or in a customer service role within the healthcare industry

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact compassionately with patients of all ages

Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively

Proficient in using medical software and computer systems

A warm, friendly and professional demeanour, with a genuine interest in supporting the wellbeing of our patients

Knowledge of Medicare and NDIS
