About the role

Eclipse Health Specialists is seeking a dedicated Medical Receptionist to join our expert team in West Albury, NSW- on a full time, part time or casual basis. This role is responsible for providing exceptional patient service and administrative support to our boutique surgical and aesthetic practice. As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of our clinic.

What you'll be doing

Greeting and welcoming patients in a friendly and professional manner

Scheduling appointments and managing the clinic's calendar

Handling patient inquiries and providing information about our services

Maintaining accurate patient records and updating medical histories

Assisting with the preparation of patient files and medical reports

Providing general administrative support to the clinic's healthcare professionals

Ensuring the reception area is well-organised and presentable at all times

What we're looking for: The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to provide exceptional front-desk service in a fast-paced medical environment.

Previous experience as a medical receptionist or in a similar administrative role (preferred)

Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare procedures (an advantage)

Proficient in using medical software and Microsoft Office Suite

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Strong interpersonal and customer service skills

Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively

High level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality

Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and appointment scheduling

Ability to remain calm and courteous under pressure

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

Greeting patients and visitors in a warm and professional manner

Scheduling appointments and managing calendars

Answering phones and responding to enquiries

Managing patient records and data entry

Processing billing, payments, and Medicare/insurance claims

Liaising with medical staff and supporting clinical team as needed
