The opportunity
As the HR & Payroll Officer you will support the day-to-day activities of our HR department by providing quality administration support along with exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers. You will work collaboratively with the HR team, in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, delivering HR & Payroll support to 300+ team members across multiple GMCT sites.
Undertaking other duties in the best interests of the organisation within the capacity, qualifications and experience normally expected from persons occupying positions at this classification.
Key Responsibilities
Human Resources
- Coordinate the end-to-end recruitment process, including preparing advertisements, placement of job advertisements, interview guides, short lists, participate in selection process and prepare new employee welcome packs and HR/Payroll packs.
- Assist with the onboarding and induction process for new staff members and track Probation reviews with timelines and ensure outcomes are communicated formally through letters.
- Manage the HR content on GMCT’s intranet (design artwork using Canva)
- Assist with the development and implementation of HR/Payroll policies and procedures
Payroll
- Provide backup support for the Payroll Business Partner when required and successfully manage endto-end delivery of the payroll; ensuring payroll is processed accurately and within agreed timelines.
- Perform payroll checking each fortnight to ensure verification of data.
- Understand and manage the requirements of each department, especially in the areas of employee entitlements.
- Produce, distribute and manage payroll reports for:
- KPI reporting data, workforce data reporting to DoH, and other reports as requested from time to time.
- Oversee the development and maintenance of all payroll related information on MyHub.
To be successful in this position you will require:
- Relevant qualifications in a business or administrative discipline.
- Experience in Administration related roles with minimum 5 years’ experience
- Experience in work planning, prioritising or delegation of works.
- Demonstrated ability to undertake analysis, generate reports on information required and provide recommendations.
