- Salary ranges from $125,693.00 to $138,510.00 + super + leave loading
Our South Coast Major Infrastructure Delivery unit is currently seeking to appoint a Senior Project Officer - Infrastructure Delivery to lead the planning and delivery of capital works across visitor and operational infrastructure within the South Coast of NSW national parks. Managing programs valued at up to $6 million, you will deliver upgrades to walking tracks, lookouts, campgrounds and amenities, as well as depots, carparks, staff facilities and housing.
In this role, you will oversee procurement, contract management and stakeholder engagement, ensuring all projects are delivered on time, within budget and to quality standards. You will also lead a team of 4 – 6 project staff, supporting their performance and guiding them through the successful delivery of projects across geographically dispersed sites.
About You
You are an experienced project manager with a background in infrastructure delivery and a strong understanding of procurement, contract administration and construction processes. You thrive in dynamic environments, balancing multiple priorities and leading teams to deliver high-impact outcomes in regional and remote settings.
You bring:
- Proven experience managing infrastructure projects across the full lifecycle, including procurement, delivery and close-out
- Strong knowledge of tendering, contract preparation and environmental, safety and risk management standards
- Experience working with consultants, engineers, contractors and multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to lead, support and monitor performance of 4–6 direct reports
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Confidence managing geographically dispersed projects and resolving issues across multiple sites
- Willingness and ability to travel within the region for regular site visits and fieldwork (1-2 times per month)
- A drivers licence
Essential Requirements
- Appropriate tertiary qualifications or demonstrated equivalent, relevant professional experience
- Project management skills and experience with an understanding of contemporary best practice in procurement, tendering and contract preparation, in managing project teams, consultants and contractors, and in applying environmental safety and risk management policies and systems
- Demonstrated experience in developing, implementing and reviewing strategic plans, policies and programs, and in providing strategic and operational advice and recommendations to senior management
