Role Overview:

This is a Full-time position. The Painter will be responsible for executing interior and exterior painting works to a high standard. This role requires collaboration with other trades and adherence to site safety and quality requirements. You will report directly to the Site Supervisor or Project Manager.

Responsibilities include:

- Preparing a variety of surfaces by thoroughly cleaning, repairing cracks or imperfections, sanding, and ensuring a smooth base for painting or decorative work.

- Carrying out interior and exterior painting using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment depending on the project scope.

- Performing wallpaper installation, pattern alignment, and trimming as part of high-end decorative services.

- Mixing and matching colours to meet client specifications and ensure consistency across surfaces.

- Setting up and safely using scaffolding, ladders, drop sheets, and access equipment (including scissor lifts) to complete work at height or in difficult-to-reach areas.

- Undertaking general maintenance painting for commercial clients, including planned upkeep and reactive touch-up work.

- Completing specialist tasks such as line marking and surface re-coating as part of commercial service agreements.

- Collaborating closely with project managers, site supervisors, and other trades to deliver timely and coordinated results.

- Using premium, eco-friendly materials that comply with Australian standards and environmental requirements.

- Cleaning tools, equipment, and workspaces to maintain job site order and prevent contamination between projects.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- A Trade Qualification in Painting and Decorating (Certificate III or equivalent)

- A minimum of 2 years' full-time experience as a residential or commercial painter

- Proven ability to deliver high-quality workmanship

- Attention to detail and knowledge of surface preparation and finishing techniques

- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or in a team

- White Card (Construction Induction Card)

Experience Required:

Painter: 2 years (preferred)
