The Department of Health is seeking an experienced leader to step into the critical role of Director People and Performance. This executive position is responsible for leading and delivering contemporary initiatives across the employee lifecycle and supporting organisational change that will enable the delivery of the Department’s strategic priorities.
The Role
The Director People and Performance is responsible for strategic leadership of the People and Performance team offering the opportunity to design and deliver outcomes for complex matters such as employee engagement and wellbeing; performance and development planning; leadership capability development; diversity and inclusion; talent management initiatives and cultural development.
In addition, leading a contemporary, customer-centric and value-adding HR business partnering function provides an opportunity to support organisational change, and ensure that strategic people-related interventions are fit for purpose and embedded at the local level.

Appointment Details
The position is offered as a 5-year contract, with an attractive remuneration package, including a salary range between $156,075 and $171,573 p.a. plus 11.5% superannuation.
Eligibility
Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable:
- Satisfactory completion of an appropriate course of study from a recognised tertiary institution in a relevant field
