About the role

Spanline Newcastle & Central Coast is seeking an experienced Leading Hand - Carpenter/Patio Installer to join our team in Newcastle, NSW. This is a full-time position where you will play a key role in the installation of our high-quality patio and outdoor products. You will work closely with our on-site teams to ensure projects are delivered to the highest standards.

What you'll be doing

Lead and supervise a team of carpenters and installers to efficiently complete patio and outdoor projects

Accurately read and interpret project plans and specifications

Perform skilled carpentry work including cutting, shaping, and assembling timber and other materials

Install a variety of patio and outdoor products to manufacturer specifications

Ensure all work is completed safely, on time, and to a high standard of quality

Mentor and train junior members of the installation team

Provide regular progress updates to the project manager

Site measure and order materials

What we're looking for

Proven experience as a Leading Hand or Site Supervisor in the building/construction industry

Extensive knowledge of carpentry, joinery, and outdoor product installation

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications

Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills

Excellent communication and leadership abilities

Current driver's licence and reliable transportation

Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent qualification
