Studio 2020 is a tight-knit, dynamic fashion studio operating In Armadale across three distinct women’s wear labels. Our small, agile team thrives on creativity and precision—from design to production and beyond. We're looking for a proactive and organized Product Developer to bring ideas to life alongside our designers, product manager, offshore suppliers, and photoshoot teams.

Role Overview

Your primary focus will be on Adobe Illustrator design, working hand-in-hand with our Product Manager who will support and guide you through the product development process. You will contribute across fit, tech packs, manufacturer liaison, and photoshoots, with a strong emphasis on digital design.

Key Responsibilities

Adobe Illustrator Lead: Create detailed digital sketches, tech packs, print artworks, and line sheets using Illustrator, with support as needed from our Product Manager.

Full-cycle product support: Collaborate on garments from concept through to production—preparing spec sheets, approving samples, measuring fits, and managing documentation.

Manufacturer coordination: Work with offshore manufacturers, handling sample requests and approvals, logistics, and timeline tracking.

Fit and measurement: Participate in fittings, annotate sample alterations, and communicate fit feedback accurately.

Adobe Suite expertise: Utilize Photoshop and InDesign alongside Illustrator for mood boards, lookbooks, tech pack presentations.

Photoshoot involvement: Assist with onsite styling, final-piece prep, and last-minute fit adjustments.

Team collaboration: Regularly liaise with the Product Manager, designers, technical specialists, and photography crew to align on product direction and execution.

Key Requirements

Proven experience in a product development or illustration role in women’s fashion.

Strong illustration skills is a must

Advanced proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, with strong capabilities in Photoshop and InDesign

Solid technical understanding of garment construction, measurements, and fit processes

Experience liaising with offshore manufacturers across sample and production phases .

Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.

Able to operate effectively in a small, fast-paced team environment.

Flexible availability for part-time hours (15–20 hrs/week over 4 days).

Desirable Attributes

Experience assisting or styling fashion shoots.

Awareness of fabrics, trims, and sustainable production options.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Self-driven, creative problem solver with a positive “can-do” attitude.
