The Workplace Gender Equality Agency (WGEA/Agency) is the Australian Government’s key agency charged with promoting and improving gender equality in Australian workplaces, through the provision of advice and assistance to employers and the assessment and measurement of workplace gender data. Our Agency was established by the Workplace Gender Equality Act 2012 (Act).

WGEA’s ambition is to accelerate progress towards workplace gender equality. We are a small unique agency with a big agenda.

Why this role matters

Are you ready to lead transformative technology initiatives that make a real impact? We’re looking for a visionary Technology Solutions Lead to guide the design and delivery of innovative, secure, and scalable Salesforce-based platforms.

In this role, you’ll leverage your expertise in Salesforce architecture and solution design to lead the development of user-centric platforms that support key national programs, including the Target Setting Legislation and the Employer of Choice Citation. You’ll be responsible for translating complex business requirements into robust technical solutions, shaping system architecture, and embedding best practices across the platform.

You are someone who can:

  • Lead the design and delivery of scalable Salesforce solutions that meet complex business needs.
  • Translate strategic goals into technical architecture and solution designs across the Salesforce platform.
  • Guide and support internal and external development teams, ensuring best practices and high-quality outcomes.
  • Oversee integrations with enterprise systems like Alteryx and Azure, ensuring secure and efficient data flows.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver key initiatives, including new digital programs and platform enhancements.
  • Promote platform adoption and continuous improvement through mentoring, documentation, and stakeholder engagement.

We are seeking an individual with the following skills and capabilities:

  • Proven experience (3+ years) in Salesforce solution architecture and end-to-end delivery across multiple Salesforce products.
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce Service Cloud, Community Cloud, Public Sector Solutions, and Account Engagement.
  • Demonstrated ability to design secure, scalable integrations and data models aligned with business needs.
  • Experience working in agile environments, using tools like Jira and Confluence to manage delivery.
  • Ability to lead technical discussions, provide strategic guidance, and influence outcomes across teams.
  • Australian citizenship with the ability to obtain Baseline Security Clearance.
