About the Role

We’re looking for an IT & Security Lead to own, build, and operate internal systems and security practices that support our connected smart locker business. This role combines hands-on IT systems administration with strategic leadership in cybersecurity and compliance. This role will oversee our IT Systems globally, including North America, Australia, New Zealand, UK and EU.

You’ll be the primary point of accountability for LocknCharge’s internal IT operations and lead our efforts to achieve and maintain security compliance. This will include joiner/leaver processes, device management, leading customer security reviews, and shaping the IT systems and security roadmap.

This is a foundational role with high visibility and high impact that suits someone who enjoys building secure, scalable IT systems from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities

IT Systems Administration & Support

Manage internal IT systems, including device provisioning, user onboarding/offboarding, hardware/software inventory, and system access controls.

Administer and support Microsoft 365, device management platforms, and SaaS tooling.

Manage simple office IT needs including networking and internet services.

Own and continuously improve internal IT helpdesk support processes for a globally distributed team. (Includes overseeing part-time help desk roles).

Monitor and maintain backups, endpoint protection, network performance, and systems uptime.

Security & Compliance Ownership

Lead LocknCharge’s security compliance initiatives. Owning the project plan, working with stakeholders and managing readiness and audits.

Serve as the main point of contact for customer security reviews, assessments, and vendor questionnaires.

Develop, implement, and maintain security policies, access controls, and incident response plans.

Conduct regular internal security audits and risk assessments.

Champion a culture of security awareness across the company.

Strategic IT & Security Planning

Design and evolve the IT architecture to support a connected smart locker product business at scale.

Evaluate new tools and technologies to enhance productivity, scalability, and security.

Build out documentation and processes to support long-term growth and compliance.

Vendor & Stakeholder Collaboration

Manage relationships with external IT vendors, cloud providers, security consultants, and audit partners.

Coordinate cross-functional efforts with Engineering, Operations, Product, and Legal to ensure alignment on security and infrastructure needs.

What We're Looking For

Must-Haves:

5+ years of experience in IT systems administration, security, or infrastructure roles.

Demonstrated ability to manage and secure a distributed IT environment (cloud-first preferred).

Practical experience with security compliance programs.

Experience administering Microsoft 365, and SaaS management tools.

Strong understanding of endpoint management, backup/recovery, and security fundamentals.

Excellent written and verbal communication.

Nice-to-Haves:

Certifications such as CISSP, Security+ or equivalent.

Familiarity with SaaS product environments and IoT infrastructure.

Experience managing vendor assessments and responding to customer security reviews.

Scripting or automation experience (e.g., Bash, PowerShell, Python).
