Role: Payroll Coordinator
Location: Inner West (Hybrid Working Available – Must be onsite Thursdays)
Type: 3-month temporary position
Rate: Up to $40 per hour + super per hour

THE ROLE:
We are looking for a reliable, experienced Payroll Coordinator to join the team for a full-time 3-month temporary assignment. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic and collaborative environment and has strong experience managing large-scale payroll functions.

Reporting into the Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for the end-to-end processing of a fortnightly payroll for approximately over 500 employees, most of whom fall under enterprise agreements and awards. You will play a key part in supporting the team through a busy transition period.

KEY DUTIES:

• Process end-to-end fortnightly payroll for approximately 800 staff using Dayforce (Ceridian)
• Manage onboarding, employee variations, and terminations
• Serve as the first point of contact for payroll-related queries via phone and email
• Prepare and assist with payroll-related reports and reconciliations
• Work closely with the Payroll Manager on special projects and system-related tasks
• Support ongoing implementation and optimisation of the Dayforce HCM system
• Maintain employee records and ensure strict confidentiality at all times
• Assist with general administrative tasks as required
• Ensure full compliance with all relevant statutory, policy, and procedural requirements

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Proven experience processing large volume payrolls (500+ employees), preferably within not-for-profit, education, health, or aged care sectors
• Strong working knowledge of Dayforce (Ceridian) essential
• Experience working under enterprise agreements and modern awards
• Confident in interpreting and applying award conditions and union agreements
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive data with discretion
• Must have, or be willing to obtain (at own cost), a Working With Children Check (WWCC)
