Your New Role:
As HR Generalist, you'll play a vital role in delivering end-to-end HR support across the business. From employee relations and return-to-work programs to compliance, policy development, and training, you’ll be a key partner in driving a positive and compliant workplace culture.
What You'll Be Doing:
Prepare, review and issue employment documentation including contracts, variations, promotions, and termination letters.
Manage all phases of the employment lifecycle, from onboarding and offboarding to internal movements and role changes.
Maintain accurate HR records and ensure all documentation is filed and updated in accordance with privacy legislation and internal protocols.
Respond to HR-related enquiries from employees and leaders with accurate, timely, and policy-aligned advice.
Support Leaders and employees to improve working relationships, maintain morale, high productivity and strong retention.
Lead and advise on complex employee relations matters, including performance management, investigations, grievances, and disciplinary actions.
Ensure discretion and confidentiality in all HR matters, maintaining strong governance through adherence to policies, checklists, workflows, and delegations of authority.
Apply knowledge of the Fair Work Act, National Employment Standards, and the Hospitality Industry (General) Award (HIGA) to support compliant HR practices.
Manage employee visa obligations and ensure relevant documentation is in place.
Oversee workers compensation claims and facilitate safe return-to-work processes.
Contribute to continuous improvement of HR systems, processes, and tools to support operational efficiency and employee experience.
About You:
Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Industry Relations, Management or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a HR Generalist role, ideally within dynamic or multi-site environments.
Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
Strong knowledge of employment law and relevant legislation, with a proven ability to apply this knowledge to ensure compliance and support sound decision-making.
Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
High attention to detail, with strong organisation and time management skills.
Solid understanding and practical experience in Work Health & Safety principles, processes, and systems.
