Your Role
The Student Services Officer – Accommodation is responsible for all aspects of our accommodation service, sourcing suitable host families, placing students into homestays and apartments, assisting students with other types of accommodation options, arranging airport transfers and providing assistance and counselling particularly in regard to accommodation issues.
Skills and Experience
The successful applicant should ideally have previous experience in student administration, experience working with international students as well as an understanding of quality homestay arrangements.
Working as part of a small team as well as possessing the ability and willingness to multi-task is important, as is the desire to deliver a high standard of service to all our stakeholders. The position also includes a work mobile phone and ‘on-call’ allowance in addition to the gross salary.
The successful candidate will be an integral member of the Student Services team. The role involves a high degree of autonomy, while also being a team member who is happy to jump in to assist other areas of the student service team to ensure the smooth running of the front office.
The successful applicant must have at least one year of service industry experience in a customer/client-facing environment, have an organised approach to administrative tasks, possess a strong work ethic, be prepared to multitask and have a high level of interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills.
A genuine interest in assisting international students in all aspects of their Australian experience is also important. A strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite is essential.
