The Role
We are currently seeking a Senior or Principal Control Systems Engineer to join the dynamic Adelaide-based engineering team. This role is open to candidates across Australia, with relocation assistance available for the right applicant.

Reporting to the Senior Principal Control Systems Engineer, you will play a key role in the delivery of control systems across complex EPC projects. You'll provide technical input throughout the full project lifecycle-from design to commissioning-ensuring high standards and technical excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare control system designs to meet engineering specifications and standards
  
  
• Develop functional descriptions, PLC programming, SCADA systems, and network configuration
  
  
• Select and procure materials and equipment for project delivery
  
  
• Liaise with clients, project teams, and suppliers to ensure project alignment
  
  
• Prepare cost estimates for controls engineering work
  
  
• Conduct factory acceptance testing (FAT), site commissioning, and performance validation
  
  

About You

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Systems Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, or equivalent
  
  
• Significant experience in Control Systems Engineering (Senior/Principal level)
  
  
• CPEng certification (or working towards)
  
  
• Expertise in PLC programming (Schneider, Allen-Bradley, Siemens)
  
  
• Experience with SCADA systems and network architecture
  
  
• Ability to produce technical documentation (FAT, SAT, functional descriptions)
  
  
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
  
  
• Experience with Microsoft Project and the Microsoft Office suite
  
  
• Valid Driver's Licence
  
  
• VBA skills are desirable
  
  
• Must have Australian work rights
