About the role
As a Guest Service Agent at Hotel Marvell' in Byron Bay, NSW, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a seamless stay for all our guests. What you'll be doing
Welcome and register guests upon arrival, ensuring a smooth check-in process
Assist guests with enquiries, requests and concerns, addressing them in a timely and professional manner
Process payments, handle cash and credit card transactions accurately
Maintain a thorough understanding of hotel facilities, services and local area knowledge to recommend activities and dining options
Liaise with other hotel departments to coordinate guest requirements and ensure a cohesive guest experience
Contribute to the overall cleanliness and presentation of the hotel lobby and public areas
Perform other duties as required to support the Front Office and Guest Services team
What we're looking for
Previous experience in a customer-facing role, preferably within the hospitality industry
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with guests from diverse backgrounds
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities to handle guest inquiries and concerns effectively
Proficient in using hotel management software and computer systems (PMS)
A genuine passion for providing exceptional customer service and creating memorable guest experiences
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and contribute to a positive work environment
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends and public holidays
Availability to commence within the coming week
