PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

This role is pivotal to ensuring the timely and effective supply chain management of stock for all ingredients, finished goods and packaging requirements for active storage locations servicing Krio site operations. This role requires the incumbent to actively manage stock levels to optimise our supply chains and prevent stockouts in the available storage locations utilising data captured by the warehouse management system (WMS) along with available physical resources such as cycle counts and logistics control. Central to the role is the effective execution of the physical processes that ensure target inventory record measures are achieved.

PRIMARY OBJECTIVES

Identify and implement supply chain changes or improvements to achieve company warehouse & supply KPI’s.

Work closely with production to optimise the supply of materials and packaging and ensure KPI’s are achieved across the business.

Identify and implement measures to achieve a high level of picking accuracy and ensure First Expiry First Out (FEFO) is always maintained throughout the warehouse.

Monitoring ongoing stock levels, and when directed by the warehouse manager initiating cycle counting and stock takes to ensure accuracy of inventory records and reduce risks of inventory variances

Actively oversee the physical stock identity processes (stocktakes and cycle counting) and resources including warehouse bin locations, materials tagging and logistics procedures to ensure accuracy and recommend improvements to physical stock identity processes, storage and warehouse layout.

Investigate critical inventory variances and recommend remedial activities to ensure supply and prevent future issues.

Maintain WMS procedures and physical resources to deliver accurate deployment transaction data and stock records.

Monitor where required the loading and unloading of materials and stock to optimise loading and unloading processes to reduce turnaround times and damage to goods while maintaining accurate transactions records.

Achieve high levels of customer satisfaction by identifying signs of damage, infestation, or other quality control issues in products and recommend handling and packaging solutions.

Ensure correct and efficient storage requirements are adhered to including specific allergen storage requirements to minimise spoilage and waste and maintain quality of Krio Krush products.

KEY DELIVERABLES

Identifying and communicating opportunities to improve the handling and accuracy of the system.

Handling exceptions such as “no available location to store” in a timely and controlled manner.

Ensuring picking accuracy for distributed materials including returns from production

Carrying out regular cycles counts of targeted materials and initiating actions to address key variances.

Ensuring all required tagging is carried out for materials and physical locations & transferred to the WMS.

Ensuring that the WMS data collection processes are adhered to in the logistics, warehouse, and production processes.

Maintaining key data points in the WMS to ensure up to date processes and procedures.

Delivering Integrated Risk Assessment (“IRA”) targets in an environment with many inventory items and physical locations.

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Relevant bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience.

Minimum 2 years prior experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.

Strong Computer literacy - Excel

Effective verbal & written English communication skills.

Good working knowledge of ERP and WMS systems

Task and time management skills, and Qualitative and Critical Analysis.

Adequate knowledge of Purchasing and Inventory Management Policies and Practices.

Good understanding of Supply Chain and Logistics Management.
