Business Development Manager – Capital Cities + Regional Expansion

I’m looking for an exceptional Business Development Manager to join a long-standing, values-driven company that’s ready to scale. This is a unique opportunity for someone who thrives on the thrill of the hunt, but knows that long-term success is built on relationships, not just transactions.

The business has been operating for decades with a reputation for integrity, quality, and service in the pumping solutions space. They’re ready to expand their footprint across metro and regional markets – and they’re backing the right person to make it happen.

The Role

This is a growth-focused, field-based sales role. You’ll initially focus on Sydney and other capital cities, but with the expectation (and opportunity) to develop strong regional markets over time. You’ll need to balance drive with discipline, strategy with execution, and confidence with humility.

You’ll be supported by a leadership team who values bottom-line impact, consistent effort, and ethical business. If you’re tired of just hitting activity KPIs and want to contribute to something more strategic, this could be your next move.

What You’ll Be Doing

Identifying and winning new business opportunities across commercial, industrial, and infrastructure sectors.

Building and managing key accounts with a service-first mindset.

Spending 2–3 days per week in the field (overnight travel as needed).

Working with management to develop and execute smart growth strategies.

Providing solutions that solve real operational problems for customers – not just pushing product.

Tracking your activity and outcomes through clear, meaningful reporting.

What We’re Looking For

This isn’t just about what you’ve sold – it’s about how you show up.

You’re likely someone who:

Has 5+ years of B2B sales experience, ideally in pumps, plumbing, or water treatment.

Thrives in the hunt – chasing new leads and closing deals with tenacity.

Builds relationships and trust quickly – and keeps it, through consistency and follow-through.

Understands commercial outcomes – margin, GP, and sustainable growth matter to you.

Has a learner’s mindset – coachable, curious, and always evolving.

Can hold your own in technical conversations and isn’t afraid to get into the detail.

If you’ve sold technical solutions and understand the art of balancing field sales with account development, you’ll feel at home here.
